Christine Myers has always believed that safe communities are the foundation for strong families, successful businesses, and long-term prosperity. As a Morris County Commissioner, she has prioritized public safety, ensuring that residents have the peace of mind they deserve.
STRENGTHENING LAW ENFORCEMENT
Christine has been a consistent supporter of local law enforcement agencies, providing the resources and tools they need to protect and serve. From upgrading equipment to improving training, she has made sure that police officers can do their jobs effectively and safely.
SUPPORTING EMERGENCY SERVICES
Public safety goes beyond law enforcement — it also includes responsive emergency and health services. Christine has worked to ensure that Morris County’s first responders have the funding and infrastructure they need to keep communities safe during crises, whether natural disasters or public health emergencies.
BUILDING COMMUNITY RESILIENCE
Christine understands that safety is also about prevention and preparedness. She championed programs that strengthen community preparedness, improve community engagement during emergencies, and expand county-level planning for long-term resilience.
A PROVEN ADVOCATE FOR Vulnerable and incarcerated
Christine’s record shows her deep commitment to protecting residents, but she also understands that at times, individuals and families fall prey to the drug crises that has hit the US, and those that choose the wrong path. Christine strongly supported the Sheriff’s effort to implement Hope One and subsequently Navigating Hope. She is passionate about increasing awareness of drugs, and the critical role strong families and communities have in creating a barrier to drug use.
Christine volunteers in prison ministry at the Morris County Jail, mentoring men and women and helping them find hope and a more positive path forward.
She knows that when communities feel safe, individuals and families thrive, businesses grow, and Morris County continues to stand out as THE BEST PLACE TO LIVE IN NEW JERSEY.
