Championing Small Businesses: Christine Myers’ Commitment to Local Growth

September 5, 2025

Christine Myers knows firsthand the challenges and rewards of running a small business. As co-founder of Madison Park Foods, an award-winning natural food company, she experienced the determination, long hours, and resilience that local entrepreneurs pour into their work every day.

That perspective has driven her career in public service — from her time as a Regional Advocate for the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), where she worked directly with small businesses across New Jersey, New York, and Puerto Rico, to her role today as President of the New Jersey Employers’ Association and influences her priorities on the Board of County Commissioners.

CUTTING RED TAPE, EXPANDING OPPORTUNITY

At the SBA, Christine listened to small business owners talk about the hardships of regulations and red tape and advocated for reform making it easier for business to start, survive and grow. She carried those lessons home to Morris County, where she has been a consistent voice for reducing barriers and supporting business-friendly policies.

SUPPORTING MORRIS COUNTY’S ENTREPRENEURS

In Morris County, Christine continues to champion the small business community by:

  • Backing initiatives that strengthen local economic growth.
  • Investing for workforce development programs at CCM and Morris County Vocational School so residents can fill the demands of our economy.
  • Ensuring that county government remains responsive to the needs of local employers.

A PROVEN ADVOCATE FOR LOCAL BUSINESS

Christine believes that small businesses are the backbone of Morris County’s economy — creating jobs, supporting families, and sustaining our sense of community. Her experience on both sides of the table, as a business owner and advocate, makes her uniquely qualified to ensure they thrive.

As Christine puts it: “When small businesses succeed, our entire community succeeds.”
